Job Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking, serious, motivated and detail-oriented AutoCAD Trainee to join our team. The Trainee will support our design and drafting teams by creating, modifying, and updating technical drawings using AutoCAD software. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a strong foundation in CAD drafting in technical field. Post the training period of 3-6months, the intern may be offered a full time job as an AutoCAD operator as per their performance in the training period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on sketches, specifications, and calculations.
• Modify existing drawings under the direction of engineers and mechanical experts.
• Ensure all drawings comply with internal standards and industry requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project drawing files and records.
• Coordinate with team members to gather information and resolve details, technical & drafting issues.
• Participate in project meetings and training sessions as needed.
• Follow company processes and contribute to improving drafting workflows.

Qualifications:

• Draftsman, Diploma, bachelor’s degree, or coursework in Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Basic and thorough knowledge of AutoCAD software (training or certification preferred).
• Understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with CAD standards.
• Good mathematical and technical drawing skills.
• Strong attention to Detail and Accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Good communication (especially listening skills) and organizational skills to deliver the project accurately
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals.

Preferred Skills (optional):

• Exposure to additional CAD software like Revit, SolidWorks, or MicroStation. Hands-on in developing 3D designs from 2D designs
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with layer management, plotting, and scale settings in AutoCAD.
